Monterey Bay Aquarium
Monterey's gem for family fun & entertainment! Enjoy a day of exploring the ocean's wonderful habitat. The aquarium is located on Steinbeck's famous Cannery Row. Be sure to check out the aquarium's website & the live cams of the sharks!

Wild Things
Tucked away in the Salinas Valley is Vision Quest Ranch, home to Wild Things. Here you will find over 100 wild and domestic birds and animals. Wild Things specializes in renting animals such as lions, tigers, elephants and exotic animals to film industries.
Hours to Visit: Every day (except Thanksgiving & Christmas) tours start at 1pm. No reservations required!

Monarch Grove Sanctuary - Pacific Grove
Pacific Grove is known as the last hometown, but is also known as "Butterfly Town USA". Each winter, thousands of monarch butterflies cluster in the trees of the Monarch Grove Sanctuary. It truly is fun to walk around the paths and look at these beautiful creatures. Don't forget your binoculars!
Hours to Visit: From dusk to dawn daily
Directions: The Sanctuary is located on Ridge Road, one block west of Lighthouse Avenue & 17 Mile Drive.

Located near Salinas, The Farm is a fun spot to learn more about agriculture, visit produce stands & visit the animals!

The Little Farm, Tilden Nature Area and Environmental Education Center (EEC) - East Bay Regional Park
The Little Farm, Tilden Nature Area and Environmental Education Center in Tilden Regional Park offer many nature-related programs and activities for adults and children of all ages. At the Little Farm, kids can learn about and help feed farm animals. In the 740-acre Nature Area they can join naturalists for enjoyable nature walks, muck about in ponds with dip nets and magnifiers, and ramble the hills and meadows looking for bugs, beetles, and animal tracks. Safari West - Santa Rosa
Trek to it! Heed the call of the wild with an adventurous safari tour. Explore the entire 400 acres of Safari West in a 3 hour adventure led by an experienced guide in an open-air, authentic safari vehicle.
The experience includes a drive through our "Sonoma" African Bush where you will be at one with the wild, observing giraffe, gazelle, scimitar-horned oryx, ostrich and other species of African antelope all living together and sharing this exotic savanna setting. 707-579-2551
