April 6 & 7 - Annual Good Old Days Celebration in Pacific Grove starting at 9am. The largest arts and craft show in the county, the Good Old Days boasts over 225 art and food vendors in downtown Pacific Grove, a parade down Pine Avenue, live entertainment on five stages, old-fashioned games and contests, and lots of family fun. April 11 - 14 - Sea Otter Classic Cycling Event. Sea Otter Classic is the largest cycling festival and consumer bike exposition in North America. The event includes a wide variety of bike races and fun rides for every kind, level and age of rider, an expo with more than 250 exhibitors, club zones, a product demo area, a ride zone, stunt shows & kids activities. www.seaotterclassic.com
April - Annual Breakfast with the Bunny in Carmel. Each year on the Saturday before Easter, the Carmel Host Lions Club hosts Breakfast with the Bunny in Devendorf Park in downtown Carmel. The party is not an egg hunt, but a morning feast, games and other fun holiday-inspired activities for adults and children, alike. Visit the Easter Bunny, have your face painted and otherwise celebrate spring’s arrival in the city’s beautiful downtown park.
April - The City of Seaside will be holding its annual Golden Egg Hunt from 11am to 1pm at the Oldemeyer Center located at 986 Hilby Avenue in Seaside. For Toddlers to 5th grade or younger, this event features an egg hunt that begins promptly at 11am, fun activities, interactive crafts, Bounce houses, petting zoo, a visit from the Easter Bunny and 18,000 eggs! Admission is free for children and parents. This event is sponsored by the City of Seaside. For more information www.ci.seaside.ca.us
April - Annual Bunny Breakfast at the Rocky Han Community Center, 211 Hillcrest Avenue in Marina. 7am to 11am. Bunny Breakfast, basket and bonnet-making crafts and entertainment. Kids show off their Easter baskets & bonnets in a parade at 10:30am, followed by a traditional egg hunt (no prizes) at 11am. This is a free event hosted by the Lions Club, Marina Kiwanis, Marina Youth & Arts, and the Volunteer Firefighters Association.
April 28 - Big Sur International Marathon - Hwy 1, Big Sur to Carmel. This marathon, consistently named the Best Marathon in North America by The Ultimate Guide to Marathons, is set along one of the most breathtaking routes in the world. Also includes a 21-mile power walk, 5K run, 9-mile walk, 10.6-mile walk, and marathon relay. 831-625-6226 or www.bsim.org
